Hoang Xuan Cong Jan with Economics Teacher, Jerome Lee

One of our great A Level high-achievers at Bellerbys London this year in is Hoang Xuan Cong Jan from Vietnam. John (as he is known at Bellerbys London) is, according to A Level Programme Manager Erin Robinson, “one of the most determined and capable A Level students we have seen in our college”.

An exceptional student in all his subjects, John particularly excelled in Economics and Maths. His Economics teacher Jerome Lee cannot praise him enough. “He is basically the best Economics student I’ve ever taught”, says Jerome. “He has genuine enthusiasm and passion for the subject and always takes the initiative in expanding his economics knowledge by attending LSE public lectures and reading economics books outside of the syllabus”.

Maths and Further Maths teacher John McDarby has a similar view of John’s talents. “He is a very strong mathematician who is able to compete with our most talented maths students”, says John. “Indeed he would have been a serious contender for our Senior Team Maths Challenge this year had he not opted to withdraw from consideration so that he could concentrate on Economics”.

A man of many talents, John will no doubt now go on to achieve even greater things at the London School of Economics. This top university will provide a suitable stage for a fantastic student, with the world in his hands.
